第13回サーフシティクラシックは、先週末、カリフォルニア州ハンティントンビーチのOC R/Cレースウェイで開催されました。毎年、サーフシティクラシックは、最高の施設と素晴らしい天候により、アメリカで最も人気のあるレースの1つです。チームヨコモは今年のサーフシティクラシックに集結し、ワールドチャンピオン、ライアン・メイフィールド選手を筆頭に、JPリチャーズ選手、ハーレー・ヨシイ選手、ジェイク・セイヤー選手、マシュー・ゴンザレス選手、タナー・アシュモア選手、そしてヨコモUSAチームマネージャーのジョー・ピラーズも、チームヨコモとヨコモユーザーへ一流のサポートを提供していました。合計315名のレースエントリーで、最高の盛り上がりを見せた週末となりました。

9月6日(日)：予選1ラウンド/シングル10分Aメインイベント

The 13th Annual Surf City Classic was held this past weekend at OC R/C Raceway in Huntington Beach, California. Each year, the Surf City Classic continues to be one of the most popular races to attend due to its World Class facility and amazing weather. Team Yokomo would roll into this year’s Surf City Classic with an All-Star line-up of drivers featuring; 2x World Champion Ryan Maifield, JP Richards, Harley Yoshii, Jake Thayer, Matthew Gonzales, and Tanner Ashmore. Yokomo USA Team Manager Joe Pillars was also on-hand providing his top-notch support to the Yokomo team and all Yokomo customers. With 315 total race entries, it would be a great weekend of racing!

Friday, September 4th: Open Practice
Saturday, September 5th: 3 Rounds of Qualifying
Sunday, September 6th: 1 Round of Qualifying / Single 10-minute A-Main Events

4WD モデファイドバギークラスでは、ヨコモの最新4WDオフロードカーYZ-4SF2をドライブするライアン・メイフィールド選手が予選ラウンド＃1と＃2をトップゴールし、早々にTQを確定しました。

その後、メイフィールド選手は、すべてのラップをリードして4WDモディファイドバギーチャンピオンシップをYZ-4 SF2でのデビューWIN、10分間のAメインイベントで説得力のある勝利を収めました！

In the 4wd Modified Buggy class, Yokomo’s Ryan Maifield took the early TQ in qualifying rounds #1 & #2 which would secure the overall TQ honors with his Hobbywing powered YZ-4 SF2!

 Maifield then took the convincing Win in the single 10-minute A-Main Event while leading every lap to take home the 4wd Modified Buggy Championship in our YZ-4 SF2 debut!

13.5T 4WDバギークラスでは、ヨコモのマシュー・ゴンザレス選手が予選ラウンド＃1、＃3、＃4を制し、YZ-4 SF2で総合的なTQを獲得しました！

しかし決勝ヒートでは同じくヨコモYZ-4 SF2のジェイク・セイヤー選手がキレのあるドライブで10分間のAメインイベントを勝ち取り、13.5T 4WDバギーチャンピオンシップを手にしました。

ゴンザレス選手も序盤のミスをカバーして総合2位でフィニッシュし、YZ-4 SF2がワンツーフィニッシュを果たしました。

In the 13.5 4wd Buggy class, Yokomo’s Matthew Gonzales TQ’ed qualifying rounds #1, #3, & #4 to take the overall TQ with his Fantom powered YZ-4 SF2!

Yokomo’s Jake Thayer would then go onto Win the single 10-minute A-Main Event with an impressive drive, to take home the 13.5 4wd Buggy Championship with his Muchmore powered YZ-4 SF2!

Matty G fought hard to come back and finished a close 2nd overall, to put our YZ-4 SF2’s on the top two steps of the podium in its debut!

17.5Tスタジアムトラッククラスでは、ヨコモのタナー・アッシュモア選手が予選でトップゴールを果たすなど素晴らしいスピードを見せ、YZ-2Tでグリッド3位からスタートしました。

タナー選手は10分ののAメインイベントで1ラップを除いてすべてのラップをリードし、勝利のために半周以上クルージングして17.5Tスタジアムトラックチャンピオンシップを獲得するという素晴らしいドライブを行いました！

17.5 Stadium Truck

In the 17.5 Stadium Truck class, Yokomo’s Tanner Ashmore showed great speed in qualifying by TQ’ing one round and would start 3rd on the grid with his Muchmore powered YZ-2T.

Tanner put in a great drive during the single 10-minute A-Main Event by leading every lap except one, and cruising home for the Win by over half a lap to take the 17.5 Stadium Truck Championship!
